The giant project began to be constructed in 2014, at the peak of which there were more than 40 thousand workers at the construction site. The airport terminal is designed to be remarkably compact and can allow the maximum airports to be parked directly in the spots that are the closest to the center of the airport terminal, which has brought the great convenience to passengers. There are 82 boarding gates in total in the airport terminal, but passengers only need less than 8 minutes to arrive at any one of the gates after they get through all the security. The design of the airport can ensure the departure and landing of 300 airplanes per hour. Its annual passenger throughput will be 100 million by 2040, which is expected to be the busiest airport in the world.
